Take a break from your exams with ESN Roma LUISS and ESN Roma 3!
Sunday, Jan. 29th ESN Roma LUISS will make you discover some of the most ancient and most fascinating beauties of Rome in the Park of Appia Antica.
We’ll meet at 9.30am in front of Metro Piramide Station, where we’ll take the bus to Appia Antica (bring ATAC tickets or pass, if u have it). There we’ll visit one of the best archaeological and natural parks in Italy, the breathtaking roman ruins of Appia Antica! There we’ll have a chill walk on the ancient roman road, where we’ll visit Circus of Maxentius (Circo di Massenzio), the Villa with Romolo’s Mausoleum, the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella, the Castrum Caetani and the Villa of the Quintilii.
We’ll have a lunch-break in the park, but since there’s no bar to buy food over there, remember to bring a packed-lunch!
After the tour on Appia Antica we’ll move to Castel Gandolfo, known as one of the most characteristics villages in Italy. Afterwards, we’ll move (by coach) to Ariccia, for an awesome typical dinner with local food and wine, in a so-called “fraschetta“, a typical roman tavern.
If you want to sleep in the morning and prefer to join us just to visit Castel Gandolfo and for the dinner in Ariccia, we can meet at 4pm at Metro Piramide station, where we’ll take the coach to continue our trip.
We esteem to be back in Rome around midnight.
