This semester is going to start and ESN Roma LUISS will make it unforgettable. You are starting this fantastic experience in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, where ancient history and modernity are fused together. We’re going to let you live Rome as much as we can, starting with an amazing weekend full of appointments.

Welcome Aperitif – Thursday 8:00pm @ Folk Studios
On Thursday 23rd We’ll wait for you at 8 p.m. @ Folk Studios in Via Massaciuccoli 64 to have an aperitif all together where we will get to know each other eating and dancing together.
Welcome Party – Friday 11:30pm @ The Nag’s Head
Friday night we’ll meet at 11.30 p.m. @ Nag’s Head in Via 4 Novembre 138. Here you’ll have the first amazing disco party of the semester and we hope to see you all dressed up, in the spirit of Carnival festivities.

Carnevalone Liberato – Sunday @ Poggio Mirteto
On Sunday we will let you experience one of the most popular Carnival festivals: the “Carnevalone Liberato” in Poggio Mirteto. This celebration dates back to the 1861, when the town was freed from the Papal State. Since then, it keeps its anticlerical nature. Indeed, the most popular mask is the devil holding a trident. For the ridiculous price of 15€ you’ll get our spectacular Welcome Pack composed of:
- Thursday 23rd Aperitif @ Folk Studios (Via Massaciuccoli 64): Buffet with traditional Italianfood and 1 Drink (cocktail or beer). Additional drinks at a discounted price only with the ESN Card.
- Friday 24th Party @ Nag’s Head (Via 4 Novembre 138): 2 Drinks and all the fun you can have all night long. Additional drinks at 5€ instead of 8€ only with the ESN Card.
- Saturday 25th Surprise Event
- ESN Roma LUISS Gadget to carry around whatever you want with ESN Roma LUISS always with you.
- Welcome Pack Booklet with lot of useful information about Rome by day and by night.
The ticket for the Welcome Weekend can be bought only with a valid ESN Card during the Welcome Day in LUISS on Thursday or on Wednesday and Friday during regular Office hours (15:30-18:30).
Please note that to join us on Sunday for the Carnevalone Liberato you are required to pay an additional participation fee of 10€.
ESN Card
You will have the chance to get the ESN Card during the Welcome Day in LUISS on Thursday 23rd; remember to bring 2 passport size pictures and a valid ID. The ESN Card allows you to partecipate at all the events organized by all the ESN sections around the world (more than 400!). The cost of the card in Rome is 5€ for international students.
Additional Information
If you didn’t buy the Welcome Pack but still want to join us on Friday at the Nag’s Head, the price will be 10€ at the entrance with 2 Drinks. For the Folk Studios on Thursday, you can joins us ONLY if you bought the Welcome Pack.
Guestlist (Only for the party at Nag’s Head)
Each Exchange Student has the chance to invite up to two people by filling the guestlist application down below. The guestlist is open until 19.00 of the day of the party. The card holder and his/her guests must be together at the entrance. Italian guests will pay the full price even if they are in the guestlist.
We also remind you that the association has the right to withdraw the ESN card to everyone who will be considered responsible for behaviour not consistent with the spirit of the association and, consequently, to exclude these people from any activities organized by ESN. The names of these people will also be reported to all Italian sections of ESN.
