On Saturday March 19th ESN Roma L.U., in collaboration with LUISS, will take you to visit The Art Collection of Doria Pamphilj Family. This is the first visit of the program “Discovering Secret Places series” offered by the International Development Office.
The Discovering Secret Places series are guided tours of places that are usually closed to the public or almost undiscovered by the citizens and tourists of Rome. These exclusive visits show a secret side of Rome, inside private palaces, that preserve great treasures behind their locked doors.
All tours will be guided by Costantino D’Orazio, art historian and author of the bestseller: “The keys to open 99 secret places in Rome”.
THE ART COLLECTION OF DORIA PAMPHILJ FAMILY
Doria Pamphilj Palace is one of the few ancient residences of Rome that is still owned by the same family that built it. It hosts a wonderful collection of masterpieces i.e. Caravaggio, Raphael and Bernini, displayed in an amazing painted gallery. The visit will lead inside the palace and through the engaging history of this family, whose origins date back to XII century.
